Shaikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qassimi, Director of the Festival and the Director of FUNN, has revealed the theme and new activities to local press. Out of 500 submissions, 138 will be aired across several locations starting with Al Jawaher Convention Center and Cinema City in Zero Six Mall in Sharjah. In an attempt to reach all the children across the UAE, there will be outdoor screenings in Last Exit Al Khawaneej in Dubai and Al Zorah in Ajman. The newest addition is a number of panels that will include a discussion on refugees and a Disney panel.
The festival will run 14th – 19th of October 2018
